Terms and Conditions

Effective Date

May 2, 2025

At Navila Liveaboard, we aim to provide a safe, enjoyable, and well-organized sailing experience. To ensure clarity and fairness for all guests, we have outlined our Terms and Conditions below. We kindly ask you to review them before making a booking.

1. Price

The price/rate applies according to the date / year issued, can change at anytime without prior notice. The price changes will adjust the fuel costs, exchange rates, taxes, government regulations, and other costs beyond the control of Navila Liveaboard.

2. Reservations And Deposit

All reservations must be made by electronic mail or online form reservation. A deposit of 30% no later than 7 days after the date the reservation is made. Payments can be made by transfer to our bank account in Indonesia. Account numbers will be provided in the corresponding invoice. Navila Liveaboard will not be responsible for any bank costs related to the transfer made by the clients for the vessel deposit or balance payment. Navila Liveaboard will automatically offer the reserved spots to other guests if this deposit is not received within the stated period.

3. Payment Of the Balance

Payment of the balance must be made 14 days prior to the departure date. If full payment of the balance is not received by this date, Navila Liveaboard can cancel the booking and enforce the cancellation policy as set out in the Cancellation Policy below.

4. Short Notice Bookings

Full payment must be made at the time of booking if the reservation is made less than 14 days prior to departure.

5. Cancellation

a. Refund Basis

Refund percentages apply to Funds Received (amounts actually received by the Operator net of payment gateway/bank charges). Third-party costs (air tickets/hotels/visas/insurance, etc.) are excluded.

b. Policy

  • More than 4 months before the trip (≥120 calendar days): 50% refund.
  • 2 to 4 months before the trip (60–119 calendar days): 30% refund.
  • Less than 2 months before the trip (<60 calendar days): NO REFUND.

6. Reschedule or Date Change

a. Financial Handling

Funds Received are converted into credit, then adjusted by the reschedule fee and any fare difference:

  • If credit ≥ new price → surplus remains as credit for the same guest/party (validity per policy).
  • If credit < new price → the shortfall must be paid to confirm.
  • If the reschedule fee exceeds Funds Received → the difference must be paid to confirm. Agent/OTA bookings are handled via the original channel.

b. Policy

  • More than 2 months before the trip (≥120 calendar days): Free (one-time) — fare difference applies.
  • 1 to 2 months before the trip (60–119 calendar days): Reschedule fee 20% of trip/charter price — fare difference applies.
  • Less than 1 month before the trip (<60 calendar days): Not permitted (treated under the Cancellation Policy).

7. Substitute Guest

If for any reason a guest cannot make a trip that has already been booked, the reservation may be transferred to another person. The new guest will be subject to Navila Liveaboard’s Terms and Conditions. Guest substitution is allowed up to 3 days prior to departure, or less depending on the vessel’s policy. Navila Liveaboard takes no responsibility for changes to any bookings not made by Navila Liveaboard on behalf of the guest (e.g., airline tickets, hotel reservations, etc.).

8. Condition Before Departure

If a guest doesn't show up at the meeting point (airport, harbor, boat, etc...), Navila Liveaboard staff will wait for him up to 2 hours if informed or as much as possible (according to the departure time foreseen and the other guests’ expectations) if not. In both cases, Navila Liveaboard cannot be held responsible. The 'no show' of the guest is then considered as a last-minute cancellation. The guest can't expect any refund from Navila Liveaboard.

9. Price Adjustment Post-Contract Confirmation

Under exceptional and unforeseeable circumstances, Navila Group reserves the right to adjust the agreed contract price. Such adjustments may be necessitated by, but are not limited to:

  • Significant increases in transportation-related costs, including government-regulated fuel prices.
  • Imposed increases in state or governmental duties, taxes, or levies (such as embarkation/disembarkation charges, port fees, and sales taxes).
  • Substantial currency exchange fluctuations.

Navila Group shall, upon request, provide reasonable supporting documentation to substantiate any such price adjustments.

Due to the nature of certain variables—particularly government-determined fuel prices—which are beyond the control of Navila Group, a fixed cap on price increases cannot be guaranteed or contractually imposed. Nonetheless, all price adjustments shall be executed in good faith, transparently, and within reasonable commercial standards. Any such adjustment may be made no later than twenty-one (21) days prior to the scheduled departure date.

10. Force Majeure

Navila Liveaboard reserves the right to cancel a trip for reasons of Force Majeure (i.e. natural disasters, epidemics etc.) or unavoidable acts of man (i.e. war, riots, strikes etc.). In the event of this happening, Navila Liveaboard will advise you as soon as possible. Navila Liveaboard's policy for trips canceled due to force majeure allows for rescheduling within a maximum period of one year, subject to available dates.
